Tree and Shrub Care-Pruning Tip
1. Most evergreens are best pruned during the winter, when the tree or shrub is dormant. This will help prevent the sap from bleeding, as the tree/shrub is under less pressure during the winter time.
2. Flowering evergreens should not be pruned until at least 30 days after the completion of flowering, ie. rhododendrons.
